Forest residents invited to give views on waste and recycling
3,000 surveys are being sent to households in the district, inviting them to give their views on the current domestic waste and recycling service provided by the Forest of Dean District Council. The survey, which will be distributed in the annual council tax bills, will also question residents on how they would like to see the service develop in the future.
Councillor Martin Quaile, portfolio holder for the environment comments: ‘We are now in a position to start investigating and evaluating new collection options for the Forest of Dean. Our residents have shown us how important recycling is to them and we hope through consulting in this way we will be able to learn more about the kind of services they would like to see provided in the longer term. However, it is important that everyone who is interested, has the opportunity to give their views which is why those residents not receiving a survey with their council tax bill will be able to feedback through a range of means, including the district council website or by contacting the council directly.’
Anyone wishing to complete the survey online - or download a copy - can do so by visiting www.fdean.gov.uk. Alternatively call 01594 812416 or send an email to ecbo@fdean.gov.uk to request a paper copy.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 30 April 2010.
